Cancer Center Capital Campaign

The largest, most successful fundraising campaign in St. Elizabeth Foundation history.

Cancer Center Capital Campaign

Context

Beyond The Traditional Ask

St. Elizabeth launched a multi‑year enterprise capital campaign to fund a world‑class Cancer Center for Northern Kentucky. As the largest fundraising effort in Foundation history, the campaign required a more sophisticated model for major gifts, naming opportunities, and broad community engagement. Traditional event‑based giving and informal conversations were no longer sufficient for the scale, complexity, and visibility of the project.

Action

Building a Purpose‑Driven Donor System

Fundraising shifted from informal conversations to a structured donor enablement model that gave donors clarity, confidence, and a direct connection to the impact of their gift. The work established a unified naming architecture, a cohesive creative and brand system, and long‑term operational support that carried the campaign from early planning through public launch.

End to End Creative and Brand Leadership

  • Directed campaign themes, messaging frameworks, and storytelling
  • Produced core fundraising materials: naming booklet, collateral, donor recognition standards, event branding, and publications

Implementation and Long‑Term Partnership

  • Updated naming inventories as commitments were secured
  • Supported silent‑phase and community‑phase rollout
  • Integrated associate giving into capital fundraising

Result

A Scalable Campaign Fundraising Model

The campaign became the most successful in Foundation history and set a donor enablement model still used across future fundraising efforts.
