Context

The point where scale demanded a smarter, more consistent system

The Golf ParTee and the Grant Golf Classic are two of the region’s longest-running and most visible charity golf events. As both tournaments grew, from the Golf ParTee expanding to multiple Northern Kentucky courses to the Golf Classic’s strong annual turnout, the operational load increased: more players, more sponsors, more venues, more materials. Yet the visual system was being rebuilt from scratch every year, creating unnecessary waste, inconsistent experiences, and growing strain on creative and operations teams. The events needed a scalable, recognizable system that could support continued growth, reduce production time, and create stability year over year.

Action

Moving from golfers showing up to golfers wanting to be part of something bigger

A standing brand identity was created for each event, replacing the yearly redesign cycle with a consistent visual system that could evolve without being rebuilt. The Golf ParTee received a dedicated graphic mark in 2018, and the Grant Golf Classic received its own standing identity in 2020. These marks became the foundation for invitations, signage, apparel, digital pages, and event collateral year after year.

Operational Improvements

  • Integrated drink-ticket scorecards to eliminate manual sorting and distribution
  • Course signage with “Did You Know” facts to increase sponsor visibility and engagement
  • Pro shop gift card system that reduced gift procurement work and improved the player experience by letting golfers select their own items
  • Standardized brand assets enabling bulk ordering and consistent production

Result

How consistency and clarity helped create high-demand signature events

The standing identities created consistent year-over-year recognition, reduced creative waste, and streamlined production across both events. Standardized assets and bulk ordering lowered costs, while operational improvements removed manual processes and strengthened the overall golfer experience. As the brand systems matured, participation stabilized and demand increased, both events now operate at capped attendance and have run at full capacity for years, with waiting lists common and foursomes routinely securing their spots months in advance. The cohesive visual system also supported stronger fundraising performance, helping the foundation package higher-value sponsorships and maintain consistent financial impact year after year.
